Inquiry Tools

Inquiry Tools have been written to output information in the format for engineers and surveyors.
Click on the    icons below to view video demonstrations of these new features.

  • Measure the distance and angle between two points

Output: Bearing = N90d00’00” Distance = 112.70’ Running Total: 312.12’
  • Measure the angle between two lines or a line and an arc
  Output:
  When two lines are selected:
  Angle 1 = 69d01'11" Angle 2 = 110d58'49"
  Lines parallel. Distance: 30.00

  When a line and an arc are selected:
  Line tangent to arc. Endpoints match
  Line tangent to arc. Endpoints do not match
  Line radial to arc. Endpoints match
  Line radial to arc. Endpoints do not match
  Line intersects arc in two places
  Line does not intersect arc
  Line not radial to arc. 09d01'11" degrees off radial

  Two arcs are selected:
  Arcs concentric. Distance: 10.00
  Arcs Tangent. Endpoints match
  Arcs Tangent. Endpoints do not match
  Arcs non-concentric. Radius points offset: 1.25
  • Display the coordinate values of a point

Inverse Points
  • Display the elevation of an object

  • Add the lengths of selected arcs, ellipses, circles, lines, polylines, and splines

  • Display the survey information for lines, arcs, polylines as objects, or inside blocks or XREFs
  Output:
  Bearing = N64d31'20"E, Distance = 261.47'
  or
  Delta = 52d22'26", Radius = 500.00', Length = 457.05'
  Tangent = 245.89', Chord = 441.30', Bearing = N89d17'27"W
  • List Object

  • Calculate and label the area of selected objects and points

  • Calculate and label the area of an enclosed area by selecting a point
