FAQ
How to share Menu when AutoCAD
2000/2002 and 2004/2005 based products are
installed.
If you want to share a single installation
of SmartDraft with both AutoCAD 2000/2002
and AutoCAD 2004/2005 based products, follow
the instructions below. Once the SmartDraft
menu is recompiled with 2004/2005, it will
not work with AutoCAD 2000/2002 based products.
Procedure:
To share a single install on dual AutoCAD
installations.
1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to
the product folder.
2. Highlight the SmartDraft menu files.
Smart.MNL
Smart.MNS
Smart.CUI
Smart.DLL
3. Right Click, Choose Copy.
4. Move pointer off file list, Right Click,
Choose Paste.
5. Rename the copied files to Smart2004.*
6. Open AutoCAD 2004, 2005, or 2006.
7. Issue the MENULOAD (2004/2005) or CUILOAD
(2006) command.
8. Select the Browse button, under the Menu
Groups Tab (2004/2005 only)
9. Navigate and select the copied menu,
select Load.
10. Select the Close button.
Land Desktop: Error: Automation
Error. Problem in loading application
We have found this error when Land Desktop
/ Civil Design 3 and Land Desktop / Civil
Design 2004/2005/2006 are loaded. We believe
there is a conflict with the Land Desktop
/ Civil Design customization files used
by SmartDraft.
Suggestion: Reinstall or repair the installation
for Civil Design of the version of Land
Desktop you want to use. Note: Once you
have done this, it has been our experience
the other version of Land Desktop / Civil
Design will display this message when using
SmartDraft tools which access the Land Desktop
databases.
