When requesting support, please provide the following information to help us serve you more quickly:
- AutoCAD® version and type, e.g., AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2012;
- AutoCAD platform type, e.g., 32 bit or 64 bit;
- SmartDraft® version (can be found using the SmartAbout command);
- Microsoft Windows® version and type, e.g., Microsoft Windows 7 (64 bit);
- A description of the problem, e.g., When using the <command name or alias>, I receive the error <xyz> when selecting a <object type, point, typing, etc...);
- A copy of the file(s), XREF(s), or project files needed to test the problem using your data; and
- Indicate in the file, the area, or objects you selected when the error occurred.
In SmartDraft 8 and 9, many of the informational items can be easily produced by using the SmartInfo command, which allows you to copy and paste the results into an e-mail.
